VODAFONE PROPOSAL TO BUILD A PHONE MAST.

Vodafone are proposing to build a phone mast at the grass verge at corner of Preston New Road and Yew Tree Drive, Blackburn, BB2 7FH, National Grid reference 365774E 429529N.

At the moment the proposal is at the consultation stage.

We believe that this is a continuation of the previous consultation to put up a mast on the grass verge further up yew Tree drive. A great number of residents in that area sent in letters of objection, mostly on safety grounds. All these mast owners tell us that there is no need to worry, but anything that disorientates homing pigeons and diverts from their own loft cannot be good for people. There are vast tracts of open land nearby—why can’t they utilise these instead?
