Michael is leader of the Blackburn with Darwen Council. He is also a representative on the management board of CAB and a member of Blackburn with Darwen Arts Council.
Michael's key aims to push are: Police Officers, waste collection, community use of schools, reduction of Council tax and fairer distribution of funds throughout the Borough.

Sheila is currently the Deputy Mayor.
Sheila main concerns are for the safety and welfare of residents. To this end she wants to see productive policing, road and pavement resurfacing and maintenance, better refuse schedules, less vehicle congestion around schools and zero tolerance of litter, grafitti and dog fouling.
On Council, sheila is back with with Education (now Children's services) as one of the two Lead Members to the Portfolio Executive Member.
Sheila also sits on Sustainable Neighbourhoods Scrutiny Committee as well as being a member of an Appeals Panel.
Jim is currently the mayor of Blackburn with Darwen
