Council Budget

Crime

The Conservatives will fight crime and reduce the fear of

crime by supporting the Police and partner agencies with initiatives, including street patrols, dispersal orders and ASBOs and their enforcement. We have also introduced regulation to enable the police to stop on street drinking across the Borough.

A Caring Compassionate Council

Refuge Collection

The Conservative led coalition is committed to improving the Council’s delivery by listening to your concerns and to improve the communication between yourselves and Council departments. We aim to create an efficient and customer friendly service working closely and listening to very valuable service. We know everything will not work perfectly but please tell us of any failings so we can make the necessary changes.

We are committed to maintaining a weekly collection of household general waste. In conjunction with our partners we will enable all residents of the Borough to participate in the recycling process to which Conservatives are 100% committed. We must continue to drive down the amount we send to landfill to offset the huge increase in charges coming.

Education

Your Conservative Parliamentary Candidate

Our schools are catching up to the national figures and we recognise the importance of a good education in ensuring all residents have equality of opportunity with their peers throughout the country. We must give our young people ambition to achieve the very highest results possible.

HELP ALWAYS WELCOME.

If you are ever seized with a desire to help your local Conservatives then just email us at:

or click here.

There is no need to join the Conservative party - just a desire to help in defeating Jack Straw who must share responsibilty for the Labour Party's failures.

We would always welcome help with distributing leaflets and there will be plenty to do at election times.

By May 2010, or possibly sooner if Gordon Brown decides to risk it we will be working to maximise support for our local man, Michael Law-Riding. It will not be an easy task and we will need all the help we can get, but it can be done.
